One of the themes of The monodreme is the beauty that can be found in the mundane, and how when you depict the fantastical and the mundane side by side they enhance and transform each other.
One of my ideas regarding an animated serialisation of the monodreme is that by using photographs of very ordinary settings (that have been treated in Photoshop) for backgrounds, the beauty of the mundane could be highlighted.
The following pitch is being printed on A4 card, bound and sent out to animation companies along with a copy of the novel, a breakdown of the episodes and a covering letter.
